Just a note to tell you how much I am enjoying my new pottery studio. Now that I am spending many hours out there, I can not think of anything we could - or should - have done differently.

We've built several houses over the years and Bruce McFadden, of McFadden Homes Inc, has been by far the best builder we have ever worked with. Bruce will work with you through the entire process, from design through completion. He is responsive when you call, and is personally involved in every detail of the construction and delivery. His main crew has been with him for many years and the trade subcontractors he uses (e.g. HVAC, trim-out) are top-notch from the Pinehurst area.
The custom home he built for us in Seven Lakes (a Donald Gardner design), was delivered on-time and within budget and very high quality. Bruce's approach and philosophy are that "you build it as if you were building it for yourself and family", which results in a solid built, high quality home.

I first heard of McFadden Homes through word of mouth.
HIs pricing was reasonable, but more importantly, he finished the house for the price he quoted initially. He was flexible and allowed us to build OUR home the way we wanted it. Additional features, such as the stone fireplace, upgraded garage doors, etc., were priced in advance and choices were fully explained. Most of the changes were included in the original price.
To this day Bruce treats us like new customers, although our house is over 4 years old. He will come over immediately to repair any problems we have. We had a bad experience building a house in New Jersey and were nervous about starting the process in North Carolina, but Bruce made it a pleasant experience.
I would highly recommend McFadden Homes. The quality of construction and customer service is exceptional.

My husband Richard and I had decided that the Sandhills was the place to look for a house. We were very lucky, when on our third visit to the area, we happened on Catalpa Lane South in Pinehurst. Richard saw the house before I did. He said STOP....and I said "What a beautiful home". Walking up the front path (brick) ... Tumbled brick, white trim, large windows with fan overlays, beautiful landscaping, custom lighting, and details, details, details!!! Bruce knows how to capture design and comfort. The hardwood floors, layout, lighting, and molding were all a delight to behold. My husband had walked thru the living room while I was at the front door and we both said in unison ... "This is it!" ... a wonderful house that felt like HOME from day one. We lived part-time in our home for 3 years before we moved to stay. Our home stood the test of time. No problems.
Over the years, we have asked Bruce for advice and help with our home. I'm one of those people that always has to ask about details. When I wanted to add to our already perfect house, I was lucky. My husband said, "Good idea, go for it", and Bruce said, "Tell me what you want and I will make it happen". Not only did Bruce and his team tweak to my ideas, they made things happen on time, plus clean-up what my cleaning service didn't live up to. Bruce has also checked on our home to see how we are doing over the years.
